He's actually supposed to be the old Friar that acts as a spiritual guide for Romeo and Juliet, but I can see where the mistake can be made. In the original text, he rambles for like thirty lines about the nature of men and how they resemble flora. I tried to shorten it a bit; I'm not a big fan of monologues.
