Firstly, the original work is structured in this way, and I want to stay true to the original work as much as possible. I've actually shortened a lot of the dialogue.
Secondly, Romeo & Juliet (and by extension this comic) is a drama, which means there's a lot of build up for the main plot to develop.
So yes, I find it necessary within the method I've decided to write and produce the comic, but you're free to come back as I finish chapters if there's too little going on between pages right now.
