In the original work, Romeo would just take Juliet's hand, but I thought it wouldn't translate well into modern customs or into the comic. I like the double meaning to his request as well.
In general, I imagine Lo'meath being overly dramatic in his introduction, which both endears and amuses Huilii, who's used to order and strictness. I assume that passion is what originally pulled Juliet to Romeo as well.
